About

Black Labrador Creations offers a wide variety of works ranging from alternative historical pieces to science fiction and fantasy, each seamlessly interspersing a degree of levity and fun into otherwise insightful thought–provoking pieces. Our goal? To explore various eras through books and board games and create concepts with an innocent humor to temper the gravity of their era’s realities, the better to bring joy and a degree of education to people of all ages.

Daniel H. Lessin

CEO, Chief Author & Designer

Living in Minnesota, but hailing from New Jersey, Daniel has a history degree from Carleton College and is a seasoned Revolutionary War reenactor. Besides writing books, he enjoys the company of animals (especially dogs), board game design, figurine wargaming, folk singing, and partaking in rituals with his Reformed Druids of North America grove.

His works include the Finch Folio Series: Defending the Colonies and The Southern Campaign. He also served as chief idealogue and statistician and mechanics designer for the card game, “Loyalty or Liberty?”. As time marches on, Daniel will be continuing to create more products on the topic of this time period, including children’s books and board games, and maybe even a computer game in the more distant future!

Stay tuned.
